Personal Note: My Future on Facebook 

For the past 4 years, I have provided daily readings from Fr. Richard Rohr and many articles from the progressive theologian, Matthew Fox. I considered these two priests and teachers to be among the best, most clear and among the inclusive, most evolutionary voices in Western religious thought today. Additionally, I have reprinted daily interfaith wisdom pages and my personal reflections from my 4 books, Seasons of the Soul…

If you have been a regular reader… Thank You! I consider this to be my earnest attempt at creating an online extension of a progressive and inclusive, interfaith ministry and community… 

As I have posted earlier, I believe everyone “owns” or can have a piece of the internet such as Facebook, and can use it for many expressions of thought and feeling: from the vulgar to the political, from the amusing to the inspiring… 

Since retiring from the active ministry, I have tried to offer daily thoughts, pictures, comments etc., that would lend some meaning to our collective lives; that offers inspiration, affirmation, and provide insights and an increasing awareness of the issues and concerns we have for our society. We are a culture that has to outgrow ignorance and fear, and that requires each of us to be open to new ideas and new, transformative possibilities…

I am wondering IF my efforts are being well received… How will I know as numbers and “clicks” are not readily counted for information on taking any new directions…

Q: Should I continue to provide these FB images, ideas, daily words, etc.? 

IF I repeat my daily wisdom readings, would they be or remain valuable to you? 

Should I offer a revision of my earlier book on time, culture, and spirituality? 

What topics or subjects would you like to see? 

Would you value an ongoing discussion of spiritual books? 

Would a more metaphysical, or inclusive approach to the Bible, be something               you would value? If not the Bible, other classic teachings or Scriptures?

I am flirting with the idea of not posting daily… Instead, I would be open to a more Q & A dialogue from people who read my FB pages around spirituality, religion, culture etc., but that requires more of an affirmative request and a more active response than a mere “like” button can provide… 

I will need some specific suggestions from you, and then I will take some time to evaluate; to see what ideas, topics etc., are most possible and that would merit my efforts and attention… (I am not ruling out Zoom calls or online discussions!)

As you might already know, I am maintaining a new website that will eventually hold all my writings, research, and reflections; all my coaching, moon reports, weddings etc., and I will be working diligently, looking over my life’s library of ideas, and writings, looking to see what ones to keep or discard… I invite you to take a look at this website’s beginnings, knowing that it will expand and improve as time and talent allows!

It can read freely and daily, in place of FB, and if you find it valuable I am offering it as free subscription; obviously, I also would appreciate any small amounts of money that you wish to offer as being “a freelance mystic and reluctant prophet” has not exactly aligned itself with our current society norms and expenses!
