Just to recap, the consensus expressed a desire for fewer emails… done!

I will send the summaries of Matt Fox and Richard Rohr each week…. However, the summaries do not contain the whole content of their reflections, prayers, social statemnts etc., so I would encourage any reader to subscribe seperately IF you want to read the complete daily reading or follow its links…

Other than reducing the amount of emails, there have been a few other suggestions that people/readers have forwarded to me for my serious consideration and to share with you as possible approaches towards a wider and more in depth appraoch to interfaith spirituality. I do have another 365 collection from Andew Harvey- however, rather than give a daily commentary, I would publish a week of his quotes and let you begin your own reflections…

A few people asked about doing a group book discussion or a weekly class where we would discuss chapters of a book and how those themes and ideas influence our spirtual lives and daily practices… I imagine that would be a Zoom or a FB group that would meet for a hour or so…

Some of the themes suggested are: appraoches towards dissenting theology or inductive Bible study; That could be the Gnostic Gospels, or any other wisdom or inspirational text; Reading someone like Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Parker Palmer, Thomas Moore, etc. Taking on a theological and cultural critique such as Matt Fox’s Sins of The Spirit, Blessings of The Flesh… and I am sure there are other authors or sources that can be recommended…

Other suggestions that came to me were more focussed on applied spirituality,: such as designing rituals and rites of passage for the various events/experiences in our adult lives; Create a book of blessings and prayers; learning about the stages of life and the spirituality of aging, and learning more spiritual appraoches to health and healing… I certainly would give those topics, authors, and possible suggestions, serious consideration too!

Take some time, consider what you would like me to focus on…and/or what you would like to participate in as a class, a discussion, or some in-depth study…

Then give me your top 3 suggestions, OK?
