Since it is well known that the power and influence of Leo is not to be denied, and rarely underexpressed, it is important to note that this full moon is considered to be a powerful and important one- especially because of the closeness of the planets Jupiter to the Sun, and Pluto to the Moon…

“This is a big and intense moon that could trigger a substantial emotional release, a necessary breakthrough, a positive expansion, a deep healing of an ancestral pattern, or it can trigger explosive aggressive energy in negative ways.

Whether on the home front, your personal life, or the greater political and global arena, we will probably witness both supportive as well as challenging aspects of this full moon.

The best way to approach and work with the energies is to be aware of your own reactions and your own responsibility for them. Have a good cry but don’t wallow. Focus on where you wish to go in your life but don’t be impatient; consider the ideal big picture but don’t be attached.

And if you come across confusion, miscommunication, and other irritating issues, be as neutral, accepting, and compassionate as you can be without judgment.

This “big” moon can inspire “big” results. From internal energetic movement to external natural or political movement, anything is possible. Be flexible, on alert, present, engaged, and responsible where you need to be.”

Before continuing with the full moon, it is relationally valuable to include the

Here is what astrologer April Elliot Kent, a strong and definite Leo, has to say about this aspect and how to work more positively with it as a prelude to the full moon. She also includes her description of how the annual conjunction between the Sun and Jupiter can influence how we experience this full moon. She writes:

“…Venus square Mars (July 29, 2026, 12:09 am PDT, 21º14’ at Virgo-Gemini). It’s an aspect of conflict, whether in a relationship or within oneself, specifically between a craving for reliability and order and a desire for movement and chatter. Whether you naturally gravitate toward one side or the other, the work of the square aspect is to find a way to combine them. The huge potential advantage of this aspect is a chance to wake up to conflict and, in resolving it, to grow closer and more passionate than ever.

Once each year, the Sun comes together in a conjunction with Jupiter (this year, on July 29, 2026, 5:17 am PDT, 6º24 Leo) and we ask: Am I dreaming big enough for myself? Jupiter demands growth, and that’s not always comfortable. Leo is a cheerful, life-affirming sign; what’s to fear? The last, yet possibly the long-lasting influence on this full moon and on the next season of our lives is the direction of Saturn.

Last Sunday, Saturn began his retrograde motion in the early degrees of Aries. After just recovering from Mercury’s backwards sojourn through the month of June-July, ending last Thursday, we are being greeted by approximately 4 months of time when we will be engaged in re-assessment, responsibility, and reality testing, courtesy of the old taskmaster, Saturn.

Maybe more than any other time of the year, retrograde Saturn says “Pay Attention!”

We could call it a time for a personal audit of our feelings; our motives, our intentions. It will ask us to take a careful, more precise look at our habits and patterns- things we took for granted or what we seem to do unconsciously and bring them to our conscious awareness and deal with them directly…no frills, but the approach that encourages truth-telling with greater awareness and compassion.

First, let’s outline who might be most affected or influenced by this full moon… Given that this full moon occurs with the elements of fire and air being dominant, and supported by sextiles and rines from fire and air signs, any of us who have those elements strong or fenitie in their charts will be most likely to feel or experience its power…
