Some Collected Thoughts on The Autumnal Eqauinox
From Lena of the Shamanic School:
The Equinox lands at a mid-point between the Solstices.
It is a time to honor balance, a change of seasons, the beginning of something new or the progress of something already in motion. As with any powerful time, it is important to honor it in some way with a ritual, a prayer, a release, and taking an action towards something new or in progress. What intention has been delayed, procrastinated or blocked in some way? Take a determined action to move through obstacles or sluggishness from a place of confidence and commitment. On this day we also move signs from Virgo to Libra.
From Astrologer Lynn Hayes:
The Libra equinox is itself a point of balance, a time when the day and night are of equal length and we begin to tip the scales towards darkness. Then this week’s Aries Full Moon balances the Mars-ruled Aries Moon with the Venus-ruled Libra Sun.
From author, researcher and teacher, Dorothy Oja:
The Fall Equinox signifies a crescendo, peak growth and you need to discover what that is for you. This flowering, this realization of fulness is important. Do you remember what was animating and sprouting for you in the Spring? It had to do with what or whom you were/are in relationship with, what or whom you are aligned with.
We’re aware that the world is offering much that is brand new or repackaged as such. In Libra time, we are integrating and weighing what exactly will keep us and our lives in harmony. This Equinox chart is powerful – it forms a kite pattern (Grand trine in air: Sun, Pluto, Uranus and the Sun opposite Neptune in fiery Aries as Neptune connects to Pluto & Uranus by sextile). Our relationship (Libra) to everything and everyone and ourselves is being challenged urgently. It’s hard to keep up but we must heed the evolutionary drive. The Equinox chart has no Earth planets and there’s more fire coming later this month when Mars enters Leo. Create specific rituals for grounding. Be in nature and limit the noisy chatter. Renew your sources for trustworthiness. Get a massage. Nurture your relationship to the planet, to your life goals, to your key relationships and most of all practice fairness, equality and kindness. Many of us are having a tough time coping with excessive inequality and righteous anger.
From The Teaching group. Astrobutterfly:
On September 23rd, 2026, the Sun enters Libra. Happy b-day to all Libras out there and happy equinox to everyone! The Equinox is that time of the year when the day is equal to the night.
This point of equilibrium is also a turning point → the balance between day and night now shifts. There’s a new season bringing new developments, new opportunities, and new beginnings.
And while Libra is almost synonymous with the word “balance” – and balance sounds a bit like inaction -, let’s not forget that Libra is a cardinal sign.
The Libra season is actually a great time to take action – get yourself out there, initiate intellectual projects, or make new social connections.
